The Main House

THE MAIN HOUSE

SUITE 1

Our Honeymoon Suite offers all you need for a romantic, relaxed stay. Totally separate from the rest of the rooms, guests can expect peace and privacy as well as sea views and access to a secluded garden and outdoor shower. Enjoy a king-sized, extra length bed and en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower. This room has doors that open onto the pool deck.

Situated on the ground floor of the main house, this vibrant suite is inspired by the colour and atmosphere of the island, perfect for those looking for an energised and social stay. Guests enjoy an extra length queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower. Facing the tropical gardens of Perlo do Mar and conveniently located next to the communal lounges.

Our Chef Sarmento prepares the most delicious seafood dishes, pizzas, sushi, braais on the deck, or picnics on the islands. He uses fresh ingredients from the vegetable garden where possible and whether, on an all-inclusive or self-catering package, Sarmento will take care of all your meal preparations.

We offer a variety of watersports equipment for your enjoyment and convenience. Equipment includes a double engine super sports boat, jet ski, hobie cat sailboat, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, water skis and tubes to keep the whole family entertained.

Fishing and Boat Trips

Our marine landscape is something to behold! Whether a day excursion to a nearby island, or a fun time fishing at sea, our boat tours will be tailored to your needs. Captain Paulino will set up camp on untouched beaches, pending winds and weather, for a unique lunching experience. Are you ready to float over reefs and marvel at tranquil blue waters?

Cast your line

Captain Paulino, skipper of Shakina has expert knowledge of the best spots for a successful fishing excursion. These waters are an angler’s paradise and in the past guests have caught yellowfin tuna, dorado, kingfish, black and blue marlin, grouper, couta, king and queen mackerel, sailfish and bonito to name a few. Any edible fish you catch can be prepared by our Chef Sarmento if you so wish.

Mozambique Horse Safaris specialises in custom-made horseback riding packages which include rides along the pristine beaches, swimming with the horses, village rides and dune rides with magnificent views. The Mozambique Horse Safari is a truly breathtaking experience and is suitable for all riders.

Canoe Safari’s

Guests can join Jonathan Retzlaff for an unforgettable adventure exploring the Guvuro River on a canoe. Canoe safaris offer a combination of exploring unspoilt riverine, incredible bird watching and evening firefly safaris

Local Market Tours

Guests can travel through the local market on a traditional tuc tuc discovering the rich culture and exploring traditions of the local community

Dhow Safari's

Sail on a traditional dhow boat along the coast and appreciate Vilanculos bay’s breathtaking landscape. Choose between a full-day dhow tour where guests stop at the best snorkelling spots and have lunch on an untouched beach, or a sunset dhow tour where guests stop on the Red Dune beach to enjoy the astonishing Mozambique sunset

Meet the
perlo do mar family

Our dedicated team of staff are like family and will make your stay a special one!

The Head of House, Alberto, and his eight-member team will ensure all housekeeping is taken care of and that the Villa runs smoothly at all times. Their duties include daily servicing of the Villa, washing, ironing, cooking and preparing all meals as well as cleaning up after meals. A skipper is available when hiring the boat. Two security guards will also be on duty for the duration of your stay, to ensure peace of mind at all times.
